Storme

Storme is an accomplished singer songwriter from Australia. Accepting a music scholarship into high school Storme studied voice, piano and clarinet excelling in all her music studies. From there she accepted a Music Scholarship into the Western Australian Academy of Performing Artsmajoring in Operatic Vocal Studies, specialising in Baroque Vocal Music. Storme graduated the academy with high distinctions and went on to begin her music career in popular singing and song writing.

After her trip to Europe in 1999 Storme had written her first songs to be included on her demo album self titled ‘Storme’. Upon winning 3 music competitions she was able to record her first album at the ABC studios in Perth, Western Australia. Storme continued to perform her music at various local venues and secured a gig in a support act for John Farnham at the Entertainment Centre, Perth, WA. Following this she performed alongside and played support for Australian artists like, Robert James from GANGgajang, Lucky Oceans and Anthony Cormican .

In 2003 Storme completed her Debut Album ‘Images of Reality securing her first radio play on commercial radio with her single ‘Home’ and ‘You are the Star’. After a successful CD launch and CD sales, Storme began to make a lasting impression upon the music community. Entering her songs into national music competitions Storme won and or was a finalist in the MUSICOZ competition, Woodbridge Original Music Competition, Australian Songwriters Association Wax Lyrical, Radio 1080 Singing Competition and many more.

Travelling over east to Victoria and New South Wales, Storme funded and organised her own tour of the East Coast. Performing in venues all around Melbourne and making her way up to Byron Bay and the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Successfully obtaining an agent and performing at the festival and surrounding areas.

In 2005 Storme put together her band ‘Storme & the Weathermen’. Recording a 4 track EP ‘Gone to Freedom’ at Loop Studios in Perth, WA. Included on the EP was her first film clip to her title track ‘Freedom’.
Following the release of ‘Gone to Freedom’ and the continuing promotion of her Debut album, Storme secured a distribution contract with MGM Green. Radio play for her songs began expanding onto 100’s of radio stations worldwide, Numerous Film and TV Licensing Contracts in the USA and various Compilation CD’s in the USA and Australia alongside artists like Sarah Blasko and Angie Hart.

Storme has also taken an active part in using her music to benefit the community by organising Fundraising Concerts. The first in 2006 to raise money for UNICEF, and the second in aid of Victims of the BushFires in the Perth Hills 2007, raising $10,000. These Benefit concerts were held in Perth, Western Australia.

From 2007 to 2008 Storme once again collaborated with good friend, musician, recording engineer and producer Anthony Cormican to create her 4th album. Working with drummer- Danny Susnjar and bass-Roy Martinez. The new album Something’s Gotta Give, released digitally in 2014 is another example of Storme’s exceptional songwriting talents, captivating her listeners with her unique voice and beautiful harmonies.

Currently Storme has formed a new band called SOL-ACE. Having written 14 new songs Storme and her band recorded four of them and  released the new tunes in 2023. . Alongside this Storme runs singing workshops, sound healing workshops, private counseling and sound therapy sessions and conducts a choir in her local area and continues to perform her music at concerts and selected venues.
